PEORIA, Ill. -- Bradley University is celebrating 117 years in the Peoria Community this homecoming weekend.

Members of the Bradley family gathered for a founder's day luncheon honoring the school's founder Lydia Moss Bradley.

The event also served as an opportunity to induct a new class of Centurions.

"It's a very elite group of alumni. There are less than 200 members that have been inducted into the program,” said Liz Adams, Interim Executive Director of Alumni Relations. “They are distinguished alumni from all over the country that are recognized either for their successes in business, community service, or leadership."

Bradley's Homecoming weekend continues Friday night with a Red and White Basketball Scrimmage at 8 p.m. in the Renaissance Coliseum.
