National college report ranks central Illinois universities

PEORIA, Ill. – Bradley University has once again been recognized as one of the best universities in the Midwest.

Bradley was ranked 5th among colleges and universities of its type in the Midwest by a U.S. News & World Report in the magazine’s 2014 guide to American’s Best Colleges.

Bradley moved up one spot from last year and is still the top-ranked university in Illinois in its category.

The report also ranked Bradley 7th in the "Best Value" category.

This is the 15th consecutive year that Bradley has been ranked by U.S.News & World Report as a top Midwestern university.

Illinois State University has remained in the top 200 schools in the nation according the report.

Among public universities, ISU jumped to 81st in the nation from 83rd last year.

ISU also ranked 152 in under the "Best National Universities" category, up four spots from last year.
