Some local young artists are getting a chance to show off their creative works.

Students from St. Mark's School in Peoria have set up colorful art works ranging from 2D to interactive.

It is the first parochial school art exhibit at the Prairie Center of Arts.

"They've been working on it since Saturday until yesterday and I'm not sure the total number of pieces but it ranges between 2D art to 3D art and some interactive connetic sculptures," said

A reception will be held Friday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Prairie Center of the Arts on Southwest Washington in Peoria.

The exhibit will be up through March 17.
