PEORIA HEIGHTS, Ill. -- Students at one local school were excited to share lunch with their parents and grandparents.

Families came together to enjoy food and celebrate at St. Thomas the Apostle grade school in Peoria Heights as part of Catholic Schools Week.

"It's a lot of fun and especially student council because we get to show the grandparents around the school and we get to help them find their kids and they really enjoy it and so do we," said Student Council President Ellie Callaway.

Students showed how they give back to their community through the different service projects they had on display.
