PEORIA, Ill. -- It was only 28 degrees in Peoria when the Saint Patrick's Day Parade kicked off at 11 a.m. Monday.

But when you compare that to the extreme lows we felt earlier this year, plus add a little alcohol, parade goes said it didn't feel too bad out there.

"It is pretty nice out. The sun is out. It's a little cold. It's bearable though,” said Peoria resident Brian McKinly.

Thankfully temperatures increased throughout the day. Festivities are expected to continue into the night.
