BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- Cans Film Festival organizers announced Monday that they collected 330,000 cans during Saturday's festival.

Moviegoers were invited to bring in five canned goods for free admission to a movie on Saturday.

The Wehrenberg Theatres teamed up with the Salvation Army for the food drive. That includes the Galaxy 14 Cine in Bloomington, which brought in 10,600 cans during the drive.

The largest single donation at the Bloomington location was 100 cans. The largest donation overall happened at a theatre in Campbell, in which 700 cans were brought in by one donor. That person is getting a year pass from Wehrenberg Theatres.
