Car dealership to host car seat safety check

EUREKA, Ill. -- A properly installed car seat can protect a child from danger in an accident, and one area car dealership is making sure that seat is installed properly every time.

Tuesday, February 19th from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Mangold Ford-Mercury in Eureka is hosting a free car seat safety check.

Area residents can go to the dealership on 1100 Center St. to get tips from the American Red Cross and IDOT on how to properly install a car seat.

For those needing a car seat, the Kiwanis club and the Children's Hospital of Illinois will be giving them away to parents who qualify.
