Car crash puts two in hospital

BRIMFIELD, Ill -- A car crash resulting from improper lane usage occurred Friday, July 19th after 5:30 p.m.

21-year-old Augustus L. Riley was driving westbound on I-74 and drove into the center meridian. Riley forced the vehicle back onto the roadway, which caused it to roll once and then crash into a guardrail on the north side of the roadway.

Riley and 21-year-old passenger Erika L. Bergmann were both transported to OSF Hospital in Peoria with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver was ticketed for Improper Lane Usage.
