Car in steep ditch after veering off an off-ramp

EAST PEORIA, Ill -- State police responded to a car in a ditch after veering off off-ramp around 1:00 Friday afternoon.

Police say the driver was coming off I-74 westbound onto the Pinecrest Drive exit when they lost control and went off the off-ramp and into a steep ditch.

The driver of the vehicle was transported to OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria with non-life threatening injuries. The passenger refused medical treatment.

It was not clear if any tickets were issued.
