PEORIA, Ill. -- The delayed re-opening of the Carver Community Center will be the subject of a public forum Thursday hosted by the NAACP.

The meeting will take place at 6:30 pm in the Frank Campbell Community Room at Riverwest.

The association is demanding the Carver Center Board step down and allow former interim Director Ken Hinton to return.

Hinton and his design team resigned abruptly, citing communication problems with the board.

The board president and vice president told us last month they are willing to have Hinton return, but said the center is larger than one person.
