SHANGHAI, China -- Caterpillar Incorporated is showing off some of its latest products in the world's most populous country.

CAT machinery is on display at an International Trade Fair in China.

Company officials say it is the largest trade show display ever for Caterpillar.

The CAT display purports to cover more than 12,000 square feet inside China's Shanghai Exhibition Center.

"If you look at China today: 22 facilities, five under construction, four research and development centers, there's three logistic centers, more than a billion dollars of assets under management from Cat Financing. You really do sense and feel that full business model at today's show," said Ed Rapp.

Caterpillar officials say in recent years, the company and its independent dealers have made significant investment to expand the range of products and components produced in China.
