PEORIA, Ill. -- Congresswoman Cheri Bustos is touring area community colleges.

Bustos calls it a "Communities Working Together for Jobs" tour. The goal is to learn more about ways Communities can come together to address the skills gap.

Bustos say community colleges provide opportunities to increase American Manufacturing and put people back to work.

"I think what's great about ICC and other community colleges is that it's there for all generations," Bustos said. "It's there for kids who didn't do well in high school and have to get a GED in order to succeed. I just see ICC and colleges as a path to success."

Congresswoman Bustos is also touring Spoon River College in Canton.

Later in the week, Bustos will visit Highland Community College in Freeport, Carl Sandburg College in Galesburg, and Black Hawk College in Moline.
