PEORIA, Ill. -- A Chillicothe woman faces up to ten years in prison for her role in a fatal car crash.

Jessica Watkins, 23, plead guilty on Wednesday to a charge of Aggravated Driving Under the Influence.

Watkins was the driver of a vehicle that drifted into oncoming traffic on Illinois Route 116 near Eden Road last September and struck another vehicle head on.

A passenger in the other vehicle, Shannon Whitcomb, 57, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Drug tests revealed that Watkins was under the influence of marijuana and bath salts at the time of the crash.
