BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- People who enjoy the feel of an old fashioned holiday season will find it at the David Davis Mansion in Bloomington.
The historic home of the former Supreme Court justice is hosting its annual Christmas at Clover Lawn celebration.
The 36-room mansion is dressed up for the holidays with several different Christmas trees as well as stylish decorations ranging from the late 1800's to the early part of the 20th century.
"We start out in the 1870s, which is the time period of the house, and we go all the way up to about 1920 describing Christmas," explained Jeannie Riordan, the assistant site manager of the mansion. "There are various time periods in different rooms and that's one of the stories that we tell here is how Christmas developed as a commercial holiday."
Christmas at Clover Lawn tours of the David Davis Mansion continue through December 31.
