An unexpected stop for a CityLink bus in Peoria Monday afternoon. After a bullet, leaving one passenger injured.

Peoria police say the bus was coming west on Howett Street near Western about 1:30 this afternoon.

15 people were on board, including some children.

Passenger, Jerri Smith says that's when everybody got a real scare.
"And all of a sudden, there was just a big ole bang. And then the guy, I look behind me, and I see blood coming from the guy's face," Smith.

Peoria police spokesman Doug Burgess says a man in his mid 50s had what appeared to be minor facial injuries...probably from shattered glass.

Burgess says police are investigating whether the shooting was random...or if somebody on the bus was a target.
