PEORIA, Ill. -- CityLink honored civil rights icon Rosa Parks Friday.

The company reserved one seat on each CityLink bus and will gave away lapel pins commemorating Parks.

It's all in honor of Parks' birthday, which is February 4.

On December 1, 1955, Parks refused to give up her seat on a Montgomery, Alabama bus to a white passenger.

That day is considered to be the start of the modern civil rights movement.
