WASHINGTON, Ill. -- That brisk weather couldn't freeze the spirit of dozens of volunteers in Washington.
Relief groups continued to assist homeowners today --helping move tons of debris to the curbside.
Volunteers say they are more than happy to help, although the colder weather can present some challenges.
"We have so many layers on, it's a little bit more difficult to work because it's hard to move or crouch to pick things up but if you dress right for it your OK. It's just sometimes your face gets a little bit cold," said Daniel Hoeft from Nechama Jewish Response to Disaster.
Volunteers say they will continue to work to restore the area -- rain or shine.
