PEORIA, Ill. -- A local business is asking for your help to find one of their "employees" who has gone missing.

Alright....Maggie, a 7-year-old golden retriever may not be an employee, but she is like one of the family at Illinois cycle and fitness in Peoria. Maggie is always around the store and goes home with different employees at night and on the weekends. She went missing last week after a bath.

"When we gave her the bath we took off her collar, we were unloading a truck and she walked out the back," said Illinois Cycle and Fitness Owner John Bousky. " My assumption is that somebody saw her without a collar walking around, was worried about her and picked her up to avoid having her hit by a car."

Customers and friends have been searching for Maggie putting up posters and using the internet to help find her.

"We put a notice out on lostdog.com and it ties into facebook and through that it has spread and we have been getting just countless calls of people who know Maggie, people who don't know Maggie. Everybody just trying to help out."

"So many more people know that she is lost versus before facebook it would of taken a lot longer to reach out to that many people to get the help to get her back home," said Monica Krider, an employee at Reflections Hair Salon.

If you have any information regarding the whereabouts of Maggie, contact Illinois Cycle and Fitness at 693-2691.
