PEORIA, Ill -- Congressman Aaron Schock made a visit to downtown Peoria on Friday.
Schock spoke to The Rotary Club of Peoria on a number of topics, from defense cuts to tax reforms.
Schock says that agriculture, infrastructure, and education are his three main focuses for the 18th district, which covers the Peoria area all the way to Jacksonville.
Schock also commented on the recent negative ad towards him.
"It's an ad really that lies about my record, and I've always said- look I'm willing to defend my record. Every vote I cast, I know somebody is not going to be happy with it, but really the ad misrepresents my voting record. So, we've asked stations to pull the ad. Legally, if a third party cannot prove the claim they are making, then its illegal to air the ad," Schock said.
Schock also commented on the possibility of him running for governor, to which he said 'never say never.'
