Cooling Centers Continue to Offer Relief

Additional locations have offered their assistance to central Illinoisans during the extreme temperatures.

Hopedale Medical Complex: The cooling center is located at the Hopedale Wellness Center, 222 NW Grove St., Hopedale and will remain open until Friday, from 5 am to 9 pm all week long.  More information may be obtained by calling 309-449-4500.

Creve Coeur VFW Post 4835: Residents may stop by the cooling center at 628 S. Main Street from 12 pm to 5 pm 

Pekin Salvation Army:  243 Derby Street, Pekin residents may seek relief from the heat from 8 am to 5 pm throughout the week.

EastSide Center: 1 EastSide Drive, East Peoria, will be open from 5:30 am until 10 pm Monday through Thursday, 5:30 am until 9 pm. Friday, 6 am until 6 pm Saturday, and 7 am until 5 pm Sunday.  For more information, call 698-5437.
