ILLINOIS -- The Illinois Corn Growers Association wants President Barack Obama to expand trade opportunities between the U.S. and Cuba.

The Bloomington-based organization released a statement today, saying Cuba could be great for Illinois commodity and food products.

But federal restrictions make doing business with Cuba difficult.

The association's president says Illinois ranks sixth nationwide in lost trade opportunities because of financial and travel restrictions.
