PEORIA, Ill. -- Some of the biggest names in country music will be singing to support St. Jude--and it will all happen right here in Peoria.
Blu Entertainment announced this morning it is partnering with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital to put on the "Country Life Music Festival." The three day festival is the largest country music event in Illinois. The event is expected to bring in 8,000-10,000 people per day.
For every ticket sold, Blu Entertainment will donate a dollar to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
"We've got some of the biggest entertainment from Brad Paisley to Trace Adkins to Jennifer Nettles, Hank Williams Junior. So we've got a great line up of over 17 different stars," said Blu Entertainment representative Bradley Maloney.
"He's opening the three days for us to do raffles, fundraising and "text-to-donate," so the sky's the limit, and we're just so excited to see where it goes," said St. Jude Children's Research Hospital Regional Manager Julie Witte.
The festival will be at Peoria's Ravina on the Lake July 18-20. For more information visit www.countrylifemusicfestival.com .
