BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- Public works crews throughout Central Illinois are preparing as another possible six inches of snow is headed our way.

Bloomington Public Works said they will have 24 plows working the streets throughout the weekend.

Crews will work to clear the main streets first, and then move to the residential neighborhoods.

One of their main concerns is left-over snow from previous storms.

"Anyone who deals with snow, the intersections, cul-de-sacs, and driveways have the same consistent concerns," said Bloomington Public Works Director, Jim Karch. "The tough thing is that there really is not a great way to handle it when you have an intersection or cul-de-sac. You have more pavement. The snow has to go somewhere, so that will invariably cause issues."

Crews said they are not expecting ice which will help them conserve salt.
