PEORIA, Ill. -- We know more about the circumstances that led to the fatal shooting of a Peoria teenager.

Authorities say a street fight in the 1500 block of Butler last Sunday preceded the shooting.

Prosecutors say 27-year-old Shawn Joiner and his 33-year-old brother Terrell were fighting a a group of people, as a large crowd gathered to watch.

At some point, another man, 33-year-old Allen Fitzpatrick, drove past, jumped out of his car and joined the brothers.  Authorities say Fitzpatrick was knocked unconscious.

That's when witnesses say Marquis Costic and another man went into a nearby home and came out with a semi automatic weapon and began shooting.

Witnesses say the crowd began to run and 17 year old Treyshawn Blakely and another person were hit by bullets.  Blakely is dead.  Costic is charged with murder.

The Joiners are jailed on charges of mob action.  Fitzpatrick is charged with aggravated battery.
