Dinner to remember school victims

MORTON, Ill -- A local college student is getting the community together in memory of the Sandy Hook shooting victims.

Illinois State University student Zach Johnson and his friends are putting on an all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner Sunday.

It will run from Noon to 5:30 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Morton, and costs $7 per person.

A silent auction and bake sale will also take place. Anyone who donates baked goods will eat for free.

Proceeds will remain local, going towards a new children's play area at the Morton Downtown Plaza and also benefiting Crittenton Centers.
