METAMORA, Ill. -- Nearly a week and a half after a tornado ripped through Washington, two Illinois State troopers are receiving help from their own.
Illinois State Troopers, Sadie Conner and Miles Walsh both lost their homes in the tornado.
The director of the Illinois State Police presented both troopers with 8-thousand dollars Wednesday.
With Thanksgiving Thursday they are very thankful for the support from their fellow troopers.
"It's something you hope that you never need, but in a situation like this, you're so fortunate to have. And I think both Miles and myself are just extremely grateful that we have this system of support," said Illinois State Trooper Sadie Conner.
