PEORIA, Ill. -- All month long, donations have been made to the Crittenton Centers' Fill the Crib campaign.

On Wednesday, the first pick-up was made.

Representatives from the Crittenton made stops at Great Clips and Schnucks in Peoria.

Bins at both locations were overflowing with diapers, formula and baby food.

Employees with the Crittenton Centers said the donations are vital to keeping their programs running.

"We wouldn't be able to help people with formula when children are hungry," said Donna Ashley, Assistant Program Services Director. "We wouldn't be able to help people with diapers and things like that and we also wouldn't be able to sustain programming that we have now."

Both Schnucks and Great Clips will be taking donations until the end of the month.
