PEORIA, Ill. -- An accomplice of a Don't Shoot Call In participant was sentenced to seven years in prison for his role in a January robbery, kidnapping and beating of an East Bluff man.

Jarvis Logan, 19, plead guilty to charges of armed robbery, aggravated robbery, aggravated kidnapping and mob action.

Logan and Don't Shoot Call In participant Jerome Jones, 30, were arrested in January of this year for the beating, kidnapping and robbery of a man near his East Bluff residence on January 5.

The victim was kidnapped by Logan, Jones and a third man and taken to an address on Windenham, where he was beaten and tied up in a closet. He was able to free himself after more than five hours and contact police.

Just a few days before the incident, Jones appeared on our television stations, saying how the Don't Shoot campaign helped turn his life around.

Jones took a plea deal last week in exchange for 13 years in the Department of Corrections.
