Dow Jones climbs over 14,000 for first time in over five years

NEW YORK, NY -- NBC News is reporting that the Dow Jones Industrial Average has pushed above 14,000 for the first time in over five years.

The average got over 14,000 only briefly, as almost the second it hit the number it pulled back.

The Dow Jones hasn't been over 14,000 since 2007, before the stock market crisis of 2008.

Two separate reports have shown that job growth is steadily recovering in the United States and manufacturing has also seen growth.
