PEORIA, Ill. -- Infant formula is flying off the shelves of local Kroger stores and employees aren't happy about it.

Kroger officials reported the theft of 39 cans of formula from the Sterling Avenue store on January 14.

Surveillance footage allegedly shows two women filling a basket with formula and taking it to a car parked in the fire lane.

One Kroger employee said he later found formula with Kroger stickers at other local grocery stores.

Peoria police believe other Kroger locations have had similar thefts.

The case remains under investigation.
