BLOOMINGTON Ill -- Police say a male driver crashed into Subway at 1601 South Main Street shortly after 6:00 am.
The minivan went over a loading embankment and through the back wall of the restaurant.
The driver, who police aren't releasing the identity of yet, was transported to Advocate BroMenn Medical Center.
Subway owner, Mike Hogan, said no one was in the building at the time of the accident.
Hogan said this is the second busiest Subway location in Bloomington and estimated the damage to be more than $10,000.
"The walk-in freezer in the back of the room has considerable damage to it," said Hogan. "There's plumbing and a lot of electrical damage. The back room is just a mess. We're going to be closed for some time."
Bloomington Police are still investigating the crash.
