EAST PEORIA, Ill -- East Peoria and Tazewell County authorities are investigating a fatal car crash.
The driver died after crashing his vehicle in East Peoria early this morning.
According to the Tazewell County Coroner's Office, 37-year-old Mark Carle of East Peoria was pronounced dead on the scene.
A report from the East Peoria Police Department says the single-vehicle accident occurred on the 400 block of East Washington Street around 2:40 AM.
Police say Carle was the only person in the vehicle and are still investigating the incident.
An autopsy performed Monday showed that Carle died of blunt force trauma
