LEWISTOWN, Ill. -- A drunk driving accident left one person dead and four injured in Fulton County.

Authorities dicovered a 2006 Chevrolet occupied by five passengers on the side of the road.

19-year-old passenger Constance Lane suffered severe injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by Fulton County Coroner Steve Hines.

The vehicle had been traveling westbound and exiting the south side of the roadway when it struck a tree on the passenger side.

After further investigation of the crash, authorities determined all occupants of the vehicle, including driver Sarah Holmes, 20, were under the influence of alcohol.

Several opened and un-opened cans of alcohol were also found in the car.

Two juvenile passengers and Holmes were transported to Graham Hospital for treatment while 18-year-old Kailey Darnell was taken to Mason District Hospital.

Holmes was issued citations for speeding, underaged drinking and Driving Under the Influence.

The other passengers were also each issued citations for underaged consumption of alcohol.
