PEORIA, Ill -- Peoria County's Emergency Management Agency is encouraging Peoria County residents to participate in an online contest to win a weather alert radio.

It's all part of Severe Weather Preparedness Week. The Illinois Emergency Management Agency is sponsoring the "Weather Alert Radios Save Lives" contest in which participants take a brief quiz for a chance to win one of 100 weather alert radios the agency is giving away this spring.

Contestants can enter at www.Ready.Illinois.gov; deadline to enter is March 31 and winners will be announced in April.
