East Peoria man arrested on drug and weapons charges

EAST PEORIA, Ill. -- An East Peoria man was arrested Friday on multiple drug and weapons charges.

Voyd J. Ferguson, 40, was arrested after Illinois State Police responded to 1003 Spring Bay Road to investigate a domestic battery complaint.

State Troopers applied for and obtained a search warrant of the home during the investigation. As a result of the search, one-half pound of cannabis, $2800 in cash, three stolen handguns, surveillance equipment, and drug packaging equipment were seized.

Ferguson was arrested on charges of Domestic Battery, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon by a Felon, and Manufacture/Delivery of Cannabis 30 to 500 grams.

Ferguson is currently being held at Tazewell County Jail.
