Employees of Health Department have new contract

PEORIA, Ill -- Employees with the Peoria City-County Health Department have a new contract.

The Peoria County Board of Health have ratified a three year contract with AFSCME Council 31, which represents the workers.

Employees okayed the agreement earlier this month.

The new pact calls for a wage increases of two percent in the first year and two and a half percent increases in subsequent years.

In recognition of good faith bargaining the Health Department says a 125 dollar signing bonus was included as part of the agreement.
