PEORIA Ill -- The wet weather couldn't damper the halloween spirit in Peoria's East Bluff Thursday night.
Hosting their annual Fall Fest, the Greater Peoria Boys and Girls Club entertained hundreds of trick or treaters with carnival games, face painting, and of course candy.
Organizers said the party is an alternative to the traditional trick or treating.
"There may not be very many people actually passing out candy," said Assistant Program Director for Boys and Girls Club, Megan Faley. "We wanted to be able to provide them an alternative to come and enjoy themselves. We also wanted them to hang out and get to know us as the Boys and Girls Club, as well as their friends and neighbors."
Admission for the event was only $1.
Proceeds will help cover the event along with benefiting the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Peoria.
