SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – The Illinois Senate adjourned Thursday, ending the 2013 veto session without voting on an incentive package that would give tax credits to Archer Daniels Midland.

Under the plan ADM would receive $1.5 million in tax credits in return for bringing hundreds of jobs to Decatur from out of state.

When asked if such a package would guarantee that ADM's headquarters would go to Chicago, ADM Vice President Gregory Webb said he couldn't make that guarantee.

He did say it would be a strong incentive, but also alluded that the company was looking at other locations as well.
