EAST PEORIA, Ill -- East Peoria and Tazewell County authorities are investigating a fatal car crash.
The driver died after crashing his vehicle in East Peoria early Sunday morning.
According to the Tazewell County Coroner's Office, 37-year-old Mark Carle was pronounced dead on the scene.
A report from the East Peoria Police Department says the single-vehicle accident occurred on the 400 block of East Washington Street around 2:40 a.m.
Police say Carle was the only person in the vehicle, and are still investigating the incident.
No other information is being released at this time. An autopsy for Mark Carle is scheduled for Monday.
