"Fill the Crib" success; still time to help

PEORIA, Ill -- Your generosity has been a key factor in the success of News 25's "Fill the Crib" campaign. Donations for the Crittenton Centers Crisis Nursery have been overwhelming.

One of the locations the Crittenton Centers picked up items from this past week was Culver's on West Holiday Drive, and Monkey Joe's on Knoxville.

The campaign will continue running through April 30th. Among the supplies still needed are toys, baby formula, diapers and other items for children ages six and under.

The Crisis Nursery is open round-the-clock and is there to help any parent in the tri-county area.

"We have had a huge response of people sending diapers, formula, all kinds of things, and this is what sustains us for the entire year," said Donna Ashley, Crisis Nursery Coordinator. "So our kids that come to us don't bring anything with them and we are able to provide for them while they're at the nursery. And this 'Fill the Crib' campaign helps us do that."

Donations can be made at "Fill the Crib" drop boxes through the end of the month. To find a location go to our website www.cinewsnow.com.
