"The children's home is just special in Peoria," said Angel Chatterton, president and CEO of New Capital Bank. "It just has a good warming in my heart.  It has a really nice history with Peoria and we just felt compelled to give it to the children's home."

You have until Friday to vote for the ugliest Christmas sweater.

New Capital Bank is located at 4440 North Prospect in Peoria Heights.

PEORIA HEIGHTS, Ill. -- An ugly fashion statement is aiming to make Christmas wishes come true for some local boys and girls, but your help is needed.

Employees at New Capital Bank are holding an ugly Christmas sweater contest to raise money for the Children's Home in Peoria.

The public can stop by and vote by putting money in the box they believe is the ugliest sweater.

All the cash collected will buy gifts for those at the Children's Home.
