PEORIA HEIGHTS, Ill -- Some scary moments in Peoria Heights Wednesday night when a business along the heavily populated Prospect Road caught fire.

Peoria Heights Fire Chief Greg Walters said crews were dispatched just before 5:00 Wednesday evening to smoke in the building of Wine Country and French Toast. He says they used thermal heat cameras to locate the fire above the kitchen inside the three layers of ceiling between the first and second floors.

Chief Walters said, when the call came in for that heavily populated business district his heart skipped a beat, "For the business community here in Peoria Heights this strip means a lot, so definitely it's of concern. We got up here and took care of that problem, our concern obviously is if it were to spread laterally."

No one was injured in the fire. A cause has yet to be determined, damage is estimated around $10,000.
