EAST PEORIA Ill -- One family is safe after a fire destroyed their home Saturday.
East Peoria firefighters responded to a call on Saturday around 4:00 p.m. at 224 Wildwood Court.
The house, garage, and car were completely engulfed in flames when crews arrived.
Authorities said the property is likely a total loss.
No one was injured, thanks to a relative who knocked on the door to wake up the sleeping family.
Cause of the fire is still under investigation.
