MAPLETON, Ill. -- A machine shed is destroyed after a fire Saturday afternoon in Peoria County.

Shortly after 3:30 p.m., authorities were called to 12231 Lancaster Road in Mapleton where heavy fire was found in the front of the building. Firefighters believe no one was inside when the fire started.

No injuries were reported. The blaze was so large, fire officials called for help from other departments.

"We had previously activated a mutual aid box alarm system box, which brings in our neighboring departments with engines and tendors. We were able to have a good water supply filling up tendors from Lake Camelot and did a pretty good knock down on the fire," said Trivoli Fire Chief David Tuttle.

The building is deemed a total loss. No injuries were reported, and foul play is not suspected. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
