Fire risk leads to Jeep Wrangler recall

(NHTSA news release) According to the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration, Chrysler is recalling more than 67,000 2010 Jeep Wranglers with automatic transmissions due to a potential fire hazard.

According to the recall alert on the NHTSA website, the Wrangler's transmission skid plate, which is close to the catalytic converter, can collect debris.
