PEORIA, Ill. -- A Peoria firefighter was injured after a vacant house fire Friday night, the second at that location in a matter of months.
The blaze broke out at 1018 North Bourland around 8:30 Friday night. According to authorities, large flames were seen coming out of a rear second story window.
Firefighters entered the house through a back door. Soon after, one was injured by falling debris. He was taken to OSF Saint Francis Medical Center, where he was treated for minor injuries and later released.
Estimated damage to the structure is around $30,000. Investigators have not determined a cause but say there was a fire at this same location several months ago. Details on that incident were unavailable.
