Firefighters fight blaze in vacant Caterpillar building

EAST PEORIA, Ill -- A fire in a vacant Caterpillar building in East Peoria brought several fire departments out to fight the flames.

The fire was reported at around 10:45 Thursday morning and was said to be under control by 11:45 am. 

The building was scheduled to be torn down by Caterpillar before the fire occurred.  No one was injured in the blaze.

There was no production stoppage due to the fire in any of the nearby buildings.
