KICKAPOO, Ill.-- Since Wednesday hundreds of runners have logged thousands of miles in their journey to raise money for the children of St. Jude.

And on Saturday a new run stepped off.

This year was the inaugural run for 49 Brimfield to Kickapoo runners.

The runners made a pit stop at the Kickapoo Ballpark to chow down on some pork chops with supporters.

The group is raising money right up to the last minute all for the kids of St. Jude.

Organizer Matt Staser said, “I'm proud I'm definitely proud. And you know the cause speaks for itself everybody loves the kids and we'll do everything possible to help out the sick kids of St Jude so it's a pretty easy cause to raise money for."

The Brimfield to Kickapoo runners raised $35,000 for St Jude.
