PEKIN, Ill -- A former janitor at the Pekin Police Department is being accused of "treacherous" behavior for allegedly revealing confidential information to suspects in an on-going drug investigation.

Stacy Maneno, 37, faces federal drug conspiracy charges.

Police said while working as a custodian at the Pekin Police Department she found evidence police were investigating her ex-husband and his current wife for making meth.

Maneno is accused of warning them and others of the on-going investigation. Pekin and Federal Law enforcement officials today said Maneno's behavior caused irreparable harm to their investigations.

Pekin police now require their custodians to go through the same background checks as police officers.

Maneno has a court hearing scheduled for December 27.
