Former Bears star to speak at Aaron Schock fundraiser

PEORIA, Ill. -- Representative Aaron Schock announced that he will be kicking off his 2014 re-election bid with former Bears star Brian Urlacher in Peoria.

“While playing for the Bears, Brian was known for his unmatched work ethic and commitment to the team he played for every Sunday. I carry with me that same mindset as I work hard to represent the people of the 18th District,” Schock said.

Schock, 32, was sworn into Congress in 2009 after serving two terms in the Illinois House of Representatives.

The event, called "Schocktoberfest", will run from 5 to 7 p.m. on November 15 at Brewers Distributing in Peoria.
